This goes out to those same Pitchfork fan boys who are desperately trying to prove their indie cred. Take a breather, guys. You can actually turn up KIIS FM and not feel completely suicidal. You gotta love this bad ass Brit; in essence, she’s a likeable Lady Soveriegn. She’s so badass she’s beating out Chris Martin and Patrick Stump as Rap’s favorite Pop Hook, believe me, that’s bad ass. Stereogum loves Allen like no other, well second to the Arcade Fire.

Aside from being a firely bitch, Clarkson can write a mean pop hook, or sing it, whatever. Since You’ve Been Gone was everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure in 2005,winning her an All-Star fanbase (Gwen Stefani, David Grohl, etc). Bite me Madden Bros.

Somehow Mr. Timberlake bypassed the indie-scene’s gaydar and has become a crowd favorite as well as a blogger and mixer’s wet dream. It seems the world can’t tire of Justin, he’s released 9 million singles and his videos are getting chronically worse, but those fly suits and damned
mixes do it for me. No one lays it down as well as my good friend Samuel. “If he were a skate board, he’d be down with all the cool kids.”

If I were to get stopped by the indie police for having pop music blasting from my iPod, how worried do I REALLY need to be? Couldn’t the average person probably beat up an indie kid?

Great list Luis. I feel that Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake have been amazing pop acts for upwards of a year now. They are truly outstanding. I am begining to think Rihanna is made of the same calibre.
